This was completed in December of 2023. I was going through a pretty rough time emotionally and really wanted to just feel pure joy - so I created a painting that I hoped would resonate with some.

It took me 9 months to fully complete this piece. I had to walk away for a few weeks at a time because it became overwhelming. This painting is named “addiction” for so many reasons - but one thing I would like some to take away from this piece is the belief that even in the darkest of dark times there is always light and brightness and joy. No matter where you are in life - there is someone looking out for you. It does get better.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about this piece. It’s one of my most popular but one of my most therapeutic.

This guy was inspired by a backroads drive through the Texas Hill Country. I was in a playful mood and was so inspired by all the cows we drove by. This is painted from one of my “drive by” photo ops while we cruise the back roads. Some of my favorite memories!
"April's Gift"

This was a gift to a very dear friend & turned out to be one of my favorite portraits I've done yet. I challenged myself to be loose with my brushstrokes so I didn't lose the movement, but be detailed enough to truly capture the couple's features.

This was a super fun piece to do. This was a commission, so he’s happy in his new home - however we do have a few prints in the Shop if you just can’t leave without him!
This is one of my favorite pieces because I had so much fun while painting. I was sitting around with friends watching football and so much playful and whimsical energy flowing. I will be getting prints of this big guy some day - but for now, I enjoy the original hanging in my office.

This is the 2nd piece in a series that I’m still currently expanding on. “Loss” was the first piece and this is the 2nd. There will be a total of 8 all different ranges of emotions. This is passion and was a rather challenging one for me to paint. I struggled with this one for a few months before I was happy with the result. I get so emotional when I paint - this one was intense!

This is a little 5x7 canvas board - I was very inspired by that spring and all the incredible bluebonnets that fill our Texas fields. Driving the back roads, we encountered the bull that I grabbed a picture of to use as my reference for this painting. He was gorgeous.

This painting was done over the period of a week or so that I was crazy stressed and overwhelmed. My most effective therapy is to paint out what I’m feeling and this is a great example of how it comes out. It’s a bit whimsical but there are some intense emotions in there.
This is one of my favorite digital pieces that I’ve ever done. I’m not super comfortable with digital art, but I’m learning more every day. I’m super happy with how this little guy came out. So happy, in fact, I got him printed on some keychains! - Available in the shop!
